"I feel infinite"

The Perks of Being a Wallflower was my favourite film of 2012. It spoke to me on a very personal level. There's this moment in the film where three of the characters are driving through the city listening to David Bowie. There have been many moments like that in my life that, even though they are only simple, made me 'feel infinite'.

The film has also influenced my recent style changes. I was born in the early 90's so the styles in the film reminded me of my childhood and dressing up in my mums clothes. I especially loved Emma Watsons tartan skirt which she wore in the scene above. So, the other day I was in Topshop and I saw a tartan skirt and was considering buying it, when I remembered that I got one from Zara years ago that I've hardly worn; it's true what they say about trends reappearing every few years!

New Year: New Beginnings

I know everyone says it every year but 2013 really does mark a new beginning in my life. My life has changed so much recently, as have I and I am hoping that the new year will bring me exciting and wonderful experiences (as well as lots of clothes shopping hehe!)

I am sorry for not updating for so long, just my personal life has been a bit crazy recently! But I have lots of new ideas and fashion photos to share! My fashion taste has morphed a lot in the last few months which is a lot of fun. Since seeing the Perks of Being a Wallflower my fashion taste has taken a slightly 'late 80s grunge' direction. The outfit I am wearing in these photos is one of my more girlier attempts.

I just want to say a thank you to my family and friends who have helped me keep this blog running for almost two years now! Although it is only a small hobby I could never have done it without the assistance and skill of the person behind the camera (:

Born to die..

I love the khaki colours that are all over the high street at the moment. I love how cosy they look on. I have already featured this coat on the blog before, but I was taking these photos in the rain so I kinda needed it haha! What I really wanted this post to focus on was the khaki blouse and this cool necklace I picked up in the Topshop sale the other day.

Stand by me..

Right, I've got a question: is it wrong to shop in the men's and children's section of shops? I think if the 'glove fits' then you may as well! Last year I bought a blazer from the kid's section of Zara and the other week I got this scarf from the Primark men's section.

Fashion has become so huge now that even kids have really nice stuff available to them! I really love Primark Men too; sometimes there's nicer stuff than in the women's area. However, I did have a bit of an awkward run in the other day at uni when a guy was wearing this same scarf haha.. I think if you've got the confidence and the clothes actually fit you, then to hell with it, just shop in whatever section of a shop you want, especially when there's no VAT of kid's clothes!

I moustache you a question..

Had my hair done the other day! I tend to match my hair colour to the seasons so I've gone for a very dark brown. I hope you guys like it (:

I've gone a bit jumper crazy recently (I must have bought about six jumpers in the last two months). But they are very practical, especially with the weather deteriorating every day, so I don't feel bad. I love this moustache/glasses number I got from Ark the other week. It's so kitchy but goes well with so many outfits! Let me know what you think (:
