We got the dreamer's disease

Greetings 2015!! It is my first post of the year and the fourth birthday of my blog! I cannot believe that it was four years ago in my Uncle Colin's spare room that I suddenly decided, to procrastinate doing my A-level work, I would start a blog. So much has happened over that time! I went to uni, I've had some really amazing opportunities, met some great people and now I'm on my way to starting my career. Crazy! I have a lot of high hopes for the next 12 months. I have set some resolutions for myself which I feel are going to bear great impact on my life. My main aim is to be more positive and only surround myself with positive people. Sadly, last year I realised that not everyone you meet has your best interests at heart, and life is way too short to spend time worrying about people like that. Adios!

My favourite accessory of the moment is this zesty, orange bag! I love it so much I just had to express it to you guys haha. I have been craving a juicy orange bag for so long, it's been such an ordeal. Last year there was carroty-coloured bag in River Island that I lusted after for months. It was over the £50 mark, which is more than I like to spend on my bags. So I contemplated it for awhile until the item went out of stock. And I am glad I did not get it my friends, because this gorgeous, burnt, orange bag from Topshop looks so much more classy and expensive, even though it was only £32.40 (with student discount taken off; at normal sale price it is £36). I feel that sometimes River Island gets it so right with bags, and other times I'm look at one and think: 'did someone design this while drunk and watching the magic roundabout?' Their accessories often run the risk of bordering on chavvy in my opinion. Not to say I don't love River Island, because I do adore them, I'm just not always a fan of their bags.

I paired the bag with my kitschy tartan/floral dress from Ark (last years Winter season, sorry guys) because I like how the red and navy shades complemented the bold colour of the bag. I also threw on my prize jacket of the moment, this faux sheep skin number from H&M, which is still in stock and so cosy by the way! This outfit has been one of my go-tos this winter, and I have been reusing it probably a bit more than I should. However, I think one of the dangers in Winter is to dress in dark colours and avoid bright colours for their association with summer, yet this outfit uses pops of colour without feeling summery! Anyway let me know what you think and enjoy the photos.
